Cognitive
Relating to the mental processes of thought, knowledge, and understanding.

Colloquialism
A word or phrase that is not formal or literary; used in ordinary or familiar conversation.
" The author's use of colloquialism gave the book a very casual and relatable feel, making it a great read."
Compelling
Describes a presentation or argument that is so interesting and powerful that it holds one's attention.
" She made a compelling argument that convinced everyone to support her cause."
Compiler
A program that translates code written in a high-level programming language into machine code.
" The compiler was able to translate the code into machine language so the computer could execute the program."
Concisely
In a way that is brief but comprehensive.
" She explained the complex theory concisely in just a few sentences."
Condescending
Having or showing an attitude of patronizing superiority; talking down to someone.
" The manager’s condescending tone made his employees feel disrespected, as if they were children."
Contemplating
To think deeply and at length about something; to consider carefully.
" She spent the evening contemplating a career change, weighing all the pros and cons of her decision."
Conundrum
A difficult problem or riddle that is often perplexing or confusing to solve.
" The board faced a serious conundrum: how to cut costs without reducing the quality of their services."
Convergence
The process or state of coming together from different directions to meet at a single point.
" The book explores the convergence of science and art, showing how two different fields can be combined."
Convoluted
Extremely complex, intricate, and difficult to follow.
" The plot of the movie was so convoluted that most of the audience was confused and couldn't understand what was happening."
Crook
A dishonest person or a criminal, especially a swindler or thief.
" The police finally arrested the crook who had been stealing from the local grocery stores for months."
Crystal Gazing
The practice of attempting to predict future events; making predictions based on little or no evidence.
" The politician's speech about the future of the economy was nothing more than crystal gazing, as it was based on no hard facts."
Cul-de-sac
A street or passage that is closed at one end; a dead-end.
" They lived on a quiet cul-de-sac, where there was no traffic and the children could play safely in the street."
Database
A structured set of data held in a computer, especially one that is accessible in various ways.
