To undermine the power and authority of an established system or institution.
" The rebels were trying to subvert the government and bring about a new political system in the country."
Supply chain
The network of all the individuals, organizations, resources, and activities involved in a product or service.
" The company's supply chain was a complex network of suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors from all over the world."
Surfeit
An excessive amount of something; an overabundance.
" The market was experiencing a surfeit of new products, making it difficult for a single company to stand out."
Swarming
To move or be present in a large, densely packed group; to crowd around someone or something.
" The fans were swarming the stage after the concert, hoping to get an autograph from their favorite artist."
Symbiotic
A relationship between two different organisms that is mutually beneficial to both.
" The two companies formed a symbiotic partnership, with both of them benefiting from the new collaboration."
Synergy
The interaction of two or more things that produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
" The new collaboration between the two departments created a synergy that resulted in a highly successful project."
Syntax
The arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language or computer code.
" The programmer had to check the code for syntax errors before it could be compiled and run."
Tenacious
Tending to hold on firmly; persistent, determined, and not giving up easily.
" The tenacious journalist pursued the story relentlessly for months, refusing to abandon it until the truth was revealed."
Terse
Using few words; brief and to the point, sometimes in a way that seems rude or abrupt.
" The manager's terse reply to the email made it clear that he was not open to any further discussion."
Tone
A particular quality, way of speaking, or style of expression.
" The speaker's tone was very serious, which conveyed the importance of his message."
Towering
Extremely tall, high, or impressive in stature or importance.
" The towering skyscraper dominated the city skyline, making all the other buildings seem small and insignificant."
Trawling
A method of fishing that involves dragging a net behind a boat; to search thoroughly through a large quantity of something.
" The police were trawling through social media for clues that might help them identify the suspect."
Value proposition
A promise of value to be delivered to the customer; a statement of the benefits of a product or service.
" The company's value proposition was to offer high-quality products at an affordable price, which made them very popular."
Vanity
Excessive pride in one's own appearance, abilities, or achievements.
" Her vanity was so great that she spent hours looking in the mirror, trying to make sure that every hair was in place."
Verbalize
To express something in words.
" She found it difficult to verbalize her feelings, so she decided to write a letter instead."
Viable
Capable of working successfully; feasible and practical.
" The engineers were tasked with finding a viable solution to the power outage that would not cost a fortune."
Vilify
To speak or write about someone in a very harsh, abusive, and slanderous way.
" The rival candidate tried to vilify her opponent in a campaign speech, but it backfired and cost him the election."
Wheedle
To use flattery or a charming approach to persuade someone to do something or give you something.
" He tried to wheedle a larger allowance out of his parents by complimenting their new car and promising to do more chores."
Wrangle
To argue or have a long, noisy dispute with someone about something, often minor.
" The couple continued to wrangle over who was responsible for the unwashed dishes, turning a small issue into a larger conflict."
Xenophile
A person who is attracted to foreign cultures, customs, or people.
" As a xenophile, she loved to travel and learn about different cultures and their traditions."
Yoke
A wooden crosspiece fastened over the necks of two animals and attached to a plow; to join together or couple.
" The farmer used the yoke to connect the two oxen, so they could work together to pull the heavy plow."
Zealot
A person who is fanatical and uncompromising in the pursuit of their religious, political, or other ideals.
" He was a religious zealot who refused to listen to anyone who didn't share his beliefs."
